Modern Jive Moves on Line
We are now approaching 100 moves online.
Taught to Professional level these moves are leadable freestyle moves.
Beginner Moves and routines show the moves to the correct timing eg. Basic, catapult etc have 8 counts and they cover the basic footwork. Both these help the beginner dancer develop both his timing and making the dance modern stylish and they don't need to bend their knees, bounce their hands etc to keep timing, resulting in a smoother dance.
Improver moves are easier to learn than intermediate moves and are idea for a beginner to learn without getting frustrated or lost - especially in the early days.
Intermediate Moves are the bread and butter of Modern Jive. These are the types of moves that give the dance its variety.
Advance moves often play with different music tempo's. Daft as it may sound dancing slowly and to 'Blues' music where you have to interpret the music rather than dancing to the beat is often a lot more difficult. We have also introduced movement and progressing down the dance floor, often requiring the lady to do multiple spins and the man leading advance turns.
